SUMMARY/NOTES on planning discussion (from March 9, 2010 class)

Top objectives: Communicate with foreign activists, Participate in discussions at conferences (in English), Learn about people's activism

Our end is to communicate to foreign activists, not ordinary people, about political issues and labor movements and social movements. It's better we can invite some activists from foreign countries but it's a little bit difficult. Instead we can talk about current topics in the class. If we can, we want to debate some issues.

The reasons we learn English are to contribute and activities in foreign countries and exchange our experiences. There are many differences among countries. So we have to understand those differences. And also, we want to make agenda or article at the international labor conference, and invite some activists from foreign countries. We want to empower women in thousands of countries, especially women who are exploited from Japanese country and company.

All of us students are responsible to bring themes, issues and topics to discuss in this class. In the practice of the debate, we have to make clear of our opinion like the debate on Okinawa that we tried in last semester.
